We are a small architectural studio based in Ashtead, Surrey and offer a broad range of architectural services, ensuring each project is delivered with innovation, care and focus on our clients’ individual requirements.
Our Services
At Knach Architecture we have over 20 years experience in designing, planning and realising our clients’ dream projects.
We have a positive working relationship with Local Authorities such as Mole Valley, Epsom, Elmbridge, Guildford, and Reigate & Banstead, ensuring effective communication during the process of Planning and Building Control approvals.
Planning applications
We provide full services from Feasibility sketches to Planning application submission for all sizes of projects such as Extensions, new build homes, loft conversions, Change of use applications, internal re-modelling and conversions for both residential and commercial projects.
We assist with budget planning and collaborate with a trusted team of external consultants such as Ecologists, Arboriculturalists, Energy Assessors, Planning Consultants, Landscape Architects, Interior designers and Kitchen specialists.
Building Regulation applications
We prepare fully compliant construction information for Building Regulations approval to the most current standards and can assist in contractor selection and tender documentation / building contract selection.
We have a team in place to assist with structural design, Party Wall questions and all aspects of the Technical design stage of your project.

About us
Jola Kubitsch-Norman
ARCHITECT AND DIRECTOR
Jola is an Architect with 20+ years design experience in the residential, education, cultural and healthcare sectors, as well as sustainable architecture and refurbishment/ restoration.
Previously, she was an Associate at Tuke Manton Architects before founding Knach Architecture in 2011.
Jola has worked for both private and public sector clients on a wide variety of projects covering all design stages from feasibility to completion.
Jola graduated from RWTH Aachen University, Germany in 2000, moved to the UK in 2002, and joined the ARB as a Chartered Architect in 2004. She is a member of the Royal Institute of British Architects.
